Write a song built around an unsent message (text, email, letter, voice memo) that the narrator drafted but never delivered. Let the verses quote or paraphrase bits of that unsent message, while the chorus reveals why it stayed unsent.
Guidelines
• Perspective shift: Verse 1 is “I,” Verse 2 is “you,” Verse 3 is “we.”
• Tension: In each verse, include one concrete detail that raises the stakes (a place, a time stamp, a name).
• Flow first: Aim for varied line lengths—let emotion dictate phrasing, not perfect symmetry.
• Hook seed: End each chorus with the same 3–5 word tag (for example, “and I never hit send”).
• Bridge truth: Use the bridge to say the one thing the narrator couldn’t fit into the message.
Constraint Options (pick one)
- Time box: Write each verse as if it were typed in a 60‑second burst.
- Form: Try AABA with short A sections and a spoken-word B.
- Motif: Use a repeated sonic artifact (typing clicks, message swoosh, dial tone, voicemail beep) as a lyric or onomatopoeic hook.

If you’re using an AI music tool
• Feed it your chorus tag line and a single-sentence mood brief (for example: “late‑night indie pop, small-room reverb, heartbeat kick”).
• Generate two contrasting instrument beds: one sparse for verses, one bigger for chorus. Keep your vocal melody flexible and follow the flow.
• If lyrics are auto-generated, overwrite them with your draft-message lines and keep the cadence.
